My favorite clean beauty gift sets 2018

I can feel it in the air – holidays approaching. Regardless of weather you celebrate holidays or not, gifts are something everybody loves. Isn’t it pleasant to give someone present and receive a big smile in exchange? I love it even with no special occasion. I love to share organic cosmetics with my friends and family. If they like it they may switch to cleaner self care routine, wouldn’t that be great? My favorite clean beauty gift ideas below.

Honeybeegardens

This amazing and truly natural brand offers really amazing gift sets. One of my favorite is this one with eye liner, mascara, lipstick and powder foundation. For a very reasonable price 49.99$ you can try all of theirs bestsellers. I personally am addicted of their lipsticks, they are creamy and available in beautiful shades and eye liners that are easy to apply and super long lasting. Now, if you use code CLEAN10 you will get anything 10% off. Enjoy!

ZOYA

Zoya is one of my favorite nail polish brands. Their color range is huge and just amazing, Nail polish does not chip and looks beautiful for even 2 weeks. Most importantly, company removed from the products toxic ingredients. Here you can get some full sized nail polishes as a gift set, in a better price than regular (10$ per one).

Zion Health

Choosing makeup as a gift for someone might be risky – some people prefer to buy makeup on their own since they know their best color shades (like for example me…;)). Zion Health – natural brand from California, offers not only great deodorants with no aluminum, but also skincare gift sets that I love! Check out their Happiness SPA Kit (love face mask there!) and Relaxation Gift Set. Who would not like to get some more relax?

Clean beauty blogger confessions: non-organic beauty products that I cannot live without

This may not be what you expect to hear from clean beauty blogger. However, I have to honestly admit that since I’ve replaced the majority of my toxic cosmetics with organic ones (and I’m so happy about that!) there still are some products that are nearly impossible to replace, or after replacing them I miss the non-organic formula that I got used to years before.

Better, but worse alternative?

There are many products that are clean, organic and USDA certified, which is great, BUT… not all of them are good quality products, even though they are more expensive than drugstore brands. Don’t believe me? Let’s start from hair wash routine. I’ve tried dozens of natural shampoo brands, and since they are great for natural hair, after I had my highlights done (another thing that is potentially toxic – bleach, because how do I naturally get cool/silver blonde shade…?!) these usually herbal based shampoos made my hair yellowish and brassy, that I do not like. So I had to go back to my more ‘toxic’ color protecting shampoo made by professional brand that is not 100% clean (no silicones and parabens, but it has some other stuff). hair-1744959_1920
Another thing that I have really hard time with is… nail polish. There are organic nail polishes or less toxic ones like Zoya which I really like, but because of hard water and the fact that sometimes it happens that my dishwasher is broken or I just cook a lot and need to constantly wash my hands, (or any other non toxic or even toxic) nail polishes simply last up to one week. Then, I have to do them again, wait until each layer dries which takes a lot more time than I would like it to… and I am not patient. I do my own shellac that lasts me 3 weeks, so the question here is: is it better to put on nail polish every week and breathe it in (even if it does have less toxic ingredients it isn’t as clean as water, believe me) or is it better to do shellac once a month and enjoy strong nails? I cannot get over that idea, shellac takes me 40 mins and there is no need to dry, just led lamp and you look gorgeous!

Last thing that I find pretty annoying is mascara. Yes, there are many organic, clean brands, or at least vegan, but every time I try one, I struggle. It works at beginning and then it flakes, dries super quick or blows up… like tarte 4in1 mascara for 23$ did to me. And the price 23-27$ is not cheap at all! I am really tempted to go back to my favorite Dior or Lancome mascara and just kind of forget that those are not clean. At least I will have pretty lashes all day, no clumping, flaking and itchy eyes…cosmetics-2116368_1920
In my opinion it is great if you can replace at least some products that you use daily with organic ones, however 2-3 exceptions won’t make you die. Isn’t it right? Of course if someone will invent organic shellac, hair bleach for highlights and super volumizing, but natural mascara that does not clump and flake, I’ll use them, let me know! 😉 But for now… I do not think I can get over these three products.
Do you have any non-organic products you cannot live without or they are so hard to replace? Let me know in the comments.
